Nope! Travis did NOT register today! :):) Quite the saga!
Liberty had her tooth pulled today by none other than her little brother, Alexavier:) He was being silly and stuck his hand in her mouth and yanked out her VERY loose tooth:) She was so excited that she did not even notice she was BLEEDING everywhere! I got her rinsed out and put a tea bag on it to slow the bleeding. It stopped after a bit and now I have got to figure out what to put under her pillow, this is her 3rd one she has lost, what is the protocol on that??:):)
I have a LONG list of "to-dos" tomorrow so I had better quit now:)

Big day for Alexavier
Travis and I had a great meeting with the Convention and visitors Bureau yesterday afternoon. Alexavier spent his first hour and a half without Mom or Dad during the meeting at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He was a very happy boy the whole time we were gone--especially since he got to ride in Grandpa's pick up and play outside with the basketball hoop at his height:)
We ate supper with Travis' parents when we returned and of course Travis helped Lyle with some computer issue after supper:)
Today Travis is registering for Fall classes at Black Hills State. We will see if that actually happens--if they actually will let him register:)

Wow, the last three days have been a whirlwind--nonstop going and I am EXHAUSTED!!

Thursday began with cleaning and then made a few granola bars, that afternoon I had a Breadroot BOD mtg I left Liberty at home and took the boys and Ainsley:) After the mtg I quick grabed my order from UNFI and hurried home to get the frozen stuff in the freezer and pick up Debbie Pease (SDSCO chair) so we could go to the Black Hills Nursing Moms mtg at 6:30. I was facilitating that night so we briefly heard from Debbie why she was in Rapid City (for the Walk for Midwives) and then we discussed so very pressing issues a few of the moms had that evening. After we covered the urgent stuff I had a few topics I threw out there that I asked whether or not it is a normal nursing issue or if it needs attention. We had a wonderful discussion! I am so impressed with all these moms--they are growing into such amazing mommies! After the mtg we came home and prepped for an early morning to Spearfish for the first leg of the Walk for Midwives. Landan decided he really wanted to go with me and he was up and ready to go with plenty of time to spare:) Alexavier was a bit tired (make that A LOT bit tired) but thankfully slept the whole way to Spearfish. It was a GORGOUS day, sunny not too breezy a bit cool in the early morning hours but excellent walking weather! We started at WomanKind Midwifery and walked down by the creek and then back through the park! Wow!! Just amazing! After fininshing the walk we came back to her beautiful front porch and enjoyed some delicious homemade pumpkin bread and cranberry and cashew bread. On the way back to Rapid City Alexavier slept all the way AGAIN (Thank you Lord for taking care of me!). We stopped at the golf course and put up the beautiful banner when we got back so we would have a bit more exposure right off Omaha St. I made the yummy Mexican Quinoa salad for lunch (hold the Cilantro for Debbie) and then Debbie had a meeting at 2:30 and Cassie (her daughter) decided to go with her (who wouldn't want to go to Bully Blends??:):). I gathered up a few of the food items I knew I needed for that evening and started making more granola bars (the others were INHALED) but realized I was completely out of Earth Balance spread AND butter and those bars REALLY need it:) SO they are prepped and ready for when I can get back to finishing them. Travis was finishing up with work and so we headed into town. Stopped at Bully Blends to meet Sue Rooks and pick up Cassie so we could take so me fun pictures around downtown.
We met Debbie at Pancheros for supper where my mom stopped by and dropped off two loaves of bread for the walk that evening. The setup for the walk took a minimal amount of time and it gave me plenty of time to visit with the many supporters that were arriving! One of my state legislators (Thank you Phil Jensen!!!!) arrived and I had a great visit about all his off session activities!!! WOW--public servants really go and do SOOO much more than we see!
Cassie gathered us all for a group photo and then they were off! I chose to stay and man the display and visit with a sweet very pregnant mama that wanted to rest rather than walk. Overall the evening, in MY opinion, was a success!
Home that evening and kids went to bed while Cassie and Travis got the pictures of the day off her camera and he immediatly started working on a little slide show video that showcased that day. He is so good and such a perfectionist (guess that is one of the reasons why I love him!!) when it comes to the techy stuff. We stayed up WAAAY too late finishing that.
While visiting with Rep. Phil Jensen he told us about a float (Citizens for Liberty) in the parade the next morning where we could wear our AWESOME new "Midwives" t-shirts. So we got up early (not as early ast Debbie and Cassie did, they left a t 5 am to make it to Chamberlain by 9 am) and headed out the door at 9:15 am so Travis could meet with a guy on a website he wants done for his truck wash out on the bypass. We left there at 10:15 and went directly to the Breadroot where the parade was lining up. There was no parking so we parked in the rear of Breadroot:) It helps knowing the right people:) We got our signs and Alexavier was BOUND AND DETERMINED to ride in the stroller and NOT on the back of the flatbed trailer. Landan and the girls rode on the back holding flags and signs (mine said "Your plan is killing my children" and Liberty's said "You are taking it from my piggy bank") Ainsley was pretty tired by the time we were done, Alexavier was OUT and Liberty and Landan could have taken a few more rounds:)
The Town Hall Healthcare rally was immediately afterwards over in Memorial park. The older kids and Travis took off after we parked in the Civic Center lot and I stayed behind to let Alexavier rest a bit. They got pizza, salads and subs at Pauly's Subs and when he woke up I met a friend in the parking lot and we headed over to the Rally together. It was a ver informative time and of course enjoyable to get to be outside and let the kids run and play while we were listening! I visted with a few state legislators (Rhoden, Kirkeby, Jensen and Verchio) I figured it was good for them to see me more than JUST at Pierre! Afterwards Travis spoke briefly to Senator Thune's representative,Qusai, (he owns Micro Solutions and Travis used to work there back in college). I visted with Zack Lautenschlager and we decided we need to meet soon to go over some plans for the coming months.
We have been wanting to ride the City Trolley for ages--eventhough at this point of the day (3:30 pm) I have a headache and am EXHAUSTED I say yes and we head to the Milo Barber station to get tickets. The kids LOVE it, Ainsley fell asleep, Alexavier DID NOT sleep and Landan and Liberty had a good time. Travis was glad he did that before our meeting with the Visitor and Convention Bureau on Monday afternoon. I had a great time even though I had a raging headache, got sick to my stomache, was hotter than HOT (it was a PACKED trolley), was sitting on very uncomfortable benches and had Alexavier wanting to get off, get down and do stuff CONSTANTLY--yea so maybe not a GREAT time:):)
We came home immediatly and I CRASHED!!! I slept for two hours--headache still not gone so I drank MORE water and used some peppermint oil and it felt better.
What a full and satisfying weekend!

N/A
That is how I feel some times when I fill out information whether health related of just general info. Yesterday I went to a new chiro and had to fill out info regarding my health.
1. What are you here for? UHH??.......to stay healthy
2. How long has it been happening? HHMMM??......All my life
3. Has it gotten better or worse since then? Well.....I suppose it depends on the day:)
Plus many other non applicable questions...
My quest to find an acceptable chiro in SD continues......
